Good Luck! I'm wearing my Gordon tartan to work today too. I'm going to wear it semi-formal since I do deal with the public and I want it to dazzle. I know the women will swoon and the men will raise an eyebrow, however, the one guy who has called it a skirt in the past was a male stripper back in the 70's, so he has no room to talk!! If he asks me what I'm wearing underneath, I'll just say "A G-string I got out of your closet!". Make it a great kilted day and make sure you emphasize that your kilt is not a "costume".
Cheers! RB

My supervisor laughed about my asking if a kilt was ok. She thought it was funny that I would ask. I only get a comment now if it's a tartan they have not seen yet. Good luck!

Agreed. That was one of the major points that i hope to get across today. There is a "costume" contest at work, but I will not be participating in it, because I won't acknowledge that it's a costume. I'm on my way out the door right now, so I'll post something probably tomorrow on how it went. I'm taking my son Trick or Treating right after work.
Slainte!

At where I work I have permission from HR to wear a kilt to work on the "Casual Fridays", but pressure from my direct boss, who thinks it is like wearing shorts, keeps me from wearing it. I put it on once on my birthday, and he was not happy at all.

Good luck today,
Actually, its a non-issue unless THEY choose to make it one.
Most cool you have the support of others....better a half dozen than a loner.
Don't forget to decorate your office/cubicle/work area with pics of famous folks wearing kilts - or just good pics of guys in kilts. You can find them on many kiltmaker's websites or just google up kilts.
Let us know how it goes.

I'm a little late on this one, but I do wish you well.
Can't wait to hear the comments when you get home this evening. I suspect they'll be quite positive, as they usually are.
