I think you've hit the nail on the head...

Welcome from Canada. My wife unfortunately doesn't care for the kilts. Oh well, she's good with the kids . Yes even in our cold Canadian winters kilts are a lot more warmer than jeans. It's the simple design of the kilt 2 - 3 thicknesses of wool compared to a thin layer of cotton.

I agree; Wearing a Kilt does indeed give me a shot of confidence and a touch of mischief too, if the truth be known.

Heck, I'm a nun and I love seeing kilted men (shhh! don't tell anybody, though )! It is a very beautiful and historical garment.
Sister, just because you've taken vows doesn't mean you've been struck blind! LOL
BTW, when do we get to see a picture of YOU in a kilt?...maybe ripping off a reel or two on the pipes, hey?

I get more comments from women than from men. I get nothing but appreciative comments from women, as well. The only people who seem to have any problem with men in kilts... are MEN! Silly.

I am often surprised how many comments my husband gets about his kilts. We got his son one a few mos ago and he loves to wear it. He wants to wear it to school but he can't because of the dress code. I really hate dress codes!!

My fiancee' insists that I wear a kilt whenever we go out (as if that's necessary)
She is in the process of deciding which I should wear for the wedding so I would say no problems here!!!
