Yep, kilted it is!
Here's a link to learn how St. Andrew became the Scottish Patron Saint and the story on the Saltire.

Happy St. Andrews Day to all. I just this week received the sheet music for Gay Gordons for an upcoming dance. I will play it loudly tomorrow for those with biscuit tin feet.

Apparently, I am among the last upholders of a long-standing postal tradition. In years gone by, we used to wear a tartan tie on St. Andrews Day and/or Robbie Burns Day. So long as the rest of the uniform was worn correctly, no one ever said anything about it, and tomorrow I shall do as I have done for the past couple of decades, much to the delight of my customers....
Afterthought: Here's a challenge to my fellow letter carriers--wherever you are: let's re-establish this great old tradition [those of us who can get away with it], and perhaps someone will even produce an Xmarks tie to contribute to the cause!

I piped a St. Andrews Dinner; sold out, really good haggis, and even better company. A good time was had by all.

Aye, tomorrow I shall don the kilt in honor of St Andrew when I go out to honor my favorite saint, St Hubert. St Hubert is the patron saint of hunters and I shall be on the hunt tomorrow. Hopefully pics will follow soon.
