    Best of luck!
The best part about Barb's book is, of course, the incredible online resource that comes with it

Zounds, Sir! Find out the scurvey knave who measured the cloth and trounce him well!!

Ten metres should be almost eleven yards.

If it is double width, and ten metres long, you can get three kilts out of it, two unbroken lengths and the third one joined, or a great kilt and two small (adult) ones.

There might be enough to make a baby's kilt from the centre of the cloth, depending on what length you need to make the adult kilts.

Well, I received the fabric today and, using some other Black Watch fabric I had, started work on the bairn's kilt first.

First, I posed with the fabric. Merry Christmas!

Then I started marking the fabric for the toddler kilt.

    Pip helped...

Now the fabric is all marked and I have just started the basting stitches.

So far it's been difficult to figure some of the things out, but I am gradually re-reading things and working it out bit by bit.

We'll see how it all goes.
