Apologies not necessary. You have to do what you have to do. Best of Luck and Happy Holidays!

    Alex,

From what Al told me offline, he's going to test the waters in his new hometown before he jumps in with feet first. Also, I guess he's moving some items to the new house this week. He did make mention that he may be taking a kilt or two with him, though.

Anyway, Al, we'll see ya when you get back.

Well, I'm back safe and sound.

Thank you for all the kind words. It means alot to me.

The trip went quite well, although I caught a really bad cold on Christmas day that didn't show symptoms till I was halfway to Manitoba.

Now we spend the next week packing the rest of our belongings so they're ready for the big move on Jan 7th.

We also have the issue with Karen's parents to deal with. Lots of plot changes there that I'd rather not get into at this time.

As for the trip being non-kilted...John pretty much nailed it. I'm actually glad I was in jeans as the trailer I hauled out got filthy with grit and snow. I would have ruined a kilt messing around unloading it.

    Anyway...back to the packing.

Glad things kind of turned out ok, and good luck with the rest of the move.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

    Al,

Welcome back... Sounds like it was rather uneventful. I'm currently in Salem, Oregon, visiting my old man, who's working for FEMA...
