    Flying over Glasgow

I think you were actually flying over London, and what a great view you had!
Your view looks north and shows Nelsons column in Trafalgar Square near the bottom right hand corner, with the National Portrait Gallery just above it. Cockspur Street runs for a short distance in a north westerly direction from there, turning right into Haymarket takes you north to Piccadilly Circus, from where Piccadilly runs off in an easterly direction towards Hyde Park Corner, with Green Park further along on its south side. Regent Street runs off north westerly from Piccadilly Circus and curves to a northerly direction then intersects with Oxford Street which runs west to Marble Arch. In the bottom left of your view, the window frame just stops us from seeing Buckingham Palace - we just glimpse a segment of the big roundabout at the south-west corner of Green park on the opposite side of which is Buck Palace.

Brings back happy memories for me, too. I took a photo from that same pullover in Glen Coe, and we visited the Ben Nevis distillery as well, but on a Sunday and it was closed.

Great pics. It reminds me of my trips to Scotland. On the last one, I went with my dad and brother, driving thru the night from Edinburgh to sleep briefly at Fort William only to get up early to catch the first ferry at Mallaig to get to the Isle of Skye. We were on a mission to see Armadale Castle.
It wasn't raining in Fort William but we arrived just as all the pubs were closing for the night. It seemed like a charming place.

Thanks for the pics, brings back memories.

Oh come on!It does not always rain in Fort William!Well, er, just nearly always! You must understand that to get our 200, or so, inches of rain a year it needs to rain most of the time.Glad you enjoyed your trip.
