I hope the move is into a place that will reflect your needs and wants.
I HATE moving. The Air Force moved me more than I ever wanted to be moved in my life. I still wound up here in Boston. This house for twelve years, the apartment before was fourteen years, the room before that was twenty years. I will be moving only two more times. Sometime soon to the house that will last me through my retirement and then to the final resting spot.
It is well to move your kilts with you. Many hire movers do a really lousy job when it comes to clothing. When your new home is completed, I hope that it will afford an economical way to live, with the efficiencies that are now being built into heating and cooling systems, and electrical systems.
Good Luck and Good Cheer.

I remember the St. James Well very clearly, Colin. At least, I recall going in, but I'm not so sure about remembering leaving the place!! It is easily picked out, as is your home, on Google Earth.
Take care,
Ham.

Missed the burning down the house party, but will be there when we toast the new home. I'll bring the single malt.

Moving day
Moving day is always a mixed blessing, you find things that have been lost, lose things you have found, and when you pack your stuff in boxes and seal the lids it breeds!

Just wait until you can fill YOUR place with all the things you like.
YOUR music.
YOUR furniture.
YOUR posters.
Maybe you need a Scottish party for a housewarming.
Good luck!
