    Woah

Hey, great job! As a fellow who dabbles in leatherwork, I really appreciate the hard work that went into those. If I had a practial use for bracers, I might try that. Oh, and greaves for the feet btw! you are spot on for calling those "vambraces."

Nice job you've done there! I did a bit of dabbling in leather work, I had bought a length of number six copper ground from the hardware store, and using an inch and a half wooden dowel for a mandrel, coiled a few rings, and then bound them up on a pair of nice leather bracers. That was a lot of fun, and there's always that huge satisfaction of "See what I made?"
"Lads, we're outnumbered, surrounded, and will all likely die tomorrow, but I have good news!"

"I just found a bunch of whiskey in the castle cellar!"

Thanks all. I have Greaves started already and I plan on also making chest/back armor...and finally a Corinthian styled helm. All this to play paintball.....lmao.....

I just picked up a tub of ModPodge to harden the leather (I was going to use the boiled water method but shyed away because of the dyes used in this leather) and it dries in 20 mins but cures to "rock hard" in like 2 weeks.

Good choice not to boild the dyed leather. I have never heard of ModPodge but that sounds like an interesting method of hardenining leather. Just curious and forgive me if I have missed this in another post, but what level of paintball do you play?

Greaves protect the shins; vambraces protect the forearm.
