That is a great looking tartan, and I agree with everyone else. Find a tartan that you like, and wear it. It's not like you're gonna get tossed into "Tartan Jail" for wearing a tartan that you have no relation too.

The Heritage of Wales has a very large sett Arlen - I would personally recommend the Prince of Wales.

Which, incidentally, was the tartan I was wearing when Wales won the Grand Slam!

And you could always call the Prince of Wales Duke of Rothesay

Arlen, just to confuse you more....check out my topic "welsh cilts rule!!!" It's the Pride of Wales (official) tartan from the welsh tartan center. If you dont go for that one however, I do agree with everyone else that the 2nd kilt is quite nice.

I can't give you advise on which kilts, you are far more knowledgeable than I. But being married for almost forever, 1 bit of advise.... when one comes into a small windfall of cash...mums the word. Your new found funds might become kitchen curtains which are far more needed than another kilt. I am not encouraging deciet to a newly married young man but you will find out a married couple has two piles of money...hers & ours.

Oh, I already shared the knowledge about the award.
I'm going to be using most of it to pay the rent for the time I am over there but before my work permit arrives.
That and to help get a new car since the old one is dead.

I also like the second tartan but the pic looks like there is no center stripe in the apron. I hope it is just the angle of the picture and not sloppy workmanship.
