D/FW Kilt Night at The Tipp

My wife and I would love to attend our first DFW kilt night, but weeknights are very hard for us. Someday, when there's a weekend gathering....

After all the input on dates, this is the info I got from The Tipp today....and before you say anything, this was the day the Scotch-powers-that-be chose....

We will be continuing with our popular Tasting class featuring the Bushmills family of Fine Whiskeys with special guest host, James McCartney, Master of Whiskey!!


Come out to The Tipp on Wednesday March 26th starting at 7:00pm.

This Spirit Night event is a sampling and education of a special range of Bushmills whiskeys that will definitely please your palet.

There is a $20 fee for this event to cover the tasting accompanied by an appetizer sampler platter to compliment the experience!
Come early and have dinner, or stay after and be social with your friends.

I realize there are TWO different dates being discussed for this week's Kilt Night.

I, myself, am beyond confused.

I am trying to get in contact with Tim of The Tipp; however, he will not be in till tomorrow.

Without going into specifics - there is an email The Tipp sent out for the whiskey tasting to be held , WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26, that is open to everyone. Tim has offered to let the XMarkers partake of this tasting free of charge.
Although I specifically requested the 27th, a Thursday, WEDNESDAY is the day the whiskey tasting is occuring.

I will be happy to verify and post confirmation when I speak with Tim tomorrow.

The details are coming together for a National Tartan Day Celebration. Rowdy was interested in this and I wanted to share it with you - hope you will take this opportunity to show off your enthusiasm (and kilts!) at a AA Baseball Game - how many of you have done that before!?!?

WHAT: 2nd Annual Texas Tartan Night at the Frisco RoughRiders
AA Baseball Game
(opening weekend)
Cheer on Jimmy Mitchell as he pipes in the 7th Inning Stretch
with "Take Me Out to the Ball Game"
AND
Pub Pre-Party at Lochrann's Pub

WHEN: 4:30-6:30 Pre-party at Lochrann's
7pm opening pitch at Frisco RoughRiders vs Springfield Cardinals

WHERE: Dr Pepper Ballpark, Frisco
AND
Lochrann's Pub & Eatery at 6195 Main Street in Frisco across the
street from Pizza Hut Park from 4:30-6:30pm.

WHO: EVERYONE is invited to wear your kilts and tartan items to the
game and meet up with us beforehand nearby (two or so exits
up the N. Dallas Toll Road) at Lochrann's

HOW: No cover at Lochrann's and Happy Hour is in affect 4-7pm

RR Details: Special advance group tickets in the Bullpen section are
available by contacting Eric McDonald at 972.334.1907 or
erowley@ridersbaseball.com.

*$10 ticket package includes bullpen
tickets, RoughRiders baseball cap, PlayBall program and fireworks
after the game.
*$15 ticket package with meal option earns you all of the above
plus a hot dog, chips and a soda.
