i have hit a point where a strip of material finally looks like something. all i have left is to make a waist band and run the edges on the aprons. i dont think i am going to follow alan h's manual for this, it is so much easier to make a baby waistband out of one piece of material, i was about to rip out my hair doing it his way...lol. there are a few pics with the measuring tape to give perspective. also, there is one of proud daddy with baby and baby x-kilt.

Ok! Let me translate the Wife's rant. No offense was intended. Fabric frustration combined with a late hour produced a sharper tone.
She was having problems pinning the piece with velcro. She had been adjusting the instructions for a baby kilt and encountered design issues.
    More updates later!

Bah! No offense meant, no offense taken. I didn't design a baby kilt, YOU did, and it looks outrageously cool...yes!

You learned something, I learned something, baby has kilt, Daddy is proud, and "blame the kilt" is making kilts. It's all good!

Nah, she didn't. Everyone that has made a kilt understands the frustrations that are encountered.

Factor in that she is adjusting the instructions to make one for a wee little one, that alone can double the kilt makers frustration.

The baby kilt looks good by the way. Baby and Daddy are very lucky to have those great looking kilts made for them.

The cuteness factor of that little kilt! Really can't wait for the pics.

They're both done! The Wife learned alot and is eager to move onto the next project.
Pics should hopefully come this evening.
My lounge kilt came out well. The pleats hold with the flannel. I slept in it Saturday night and had NO problems! We need to change out the Velcro to one that grips better. We went with a longer fell to help hold the pleats and that works well.
My wife is so cool! Woo-hoo!

    Baby Kilt

That's a great looking wee kilt. My girlfriend recently bought a baby kilt off Ebay. She was delighted with it. Came very quickly. She cried when she saw it. LOL Was really very cute. Was great because she got the tartan she wanted.
