What a fabulous kilt, Glenn, not only in the tartan you long wanted but made by a prestige kiltmaker. Well worth your trip to the USA. What a great way to honour your uncle. Wear it with pride.

Alex, if it were not for your photos I doubt I would have ever been made aware of this tartan, thank you for all your wonderful photo threads. I will wear it with pride no doubt on that score.

Well, that explains where that unbidden happy feeling came from this morning - Glen driving by on his way to Barb's, overfilled with joy.
You could have warned me, you know - it's not right to feel that happy, and then have to go deal with bureaucracy for eight hours.

Another beautiful example of Tewksbury craftmanship, in a fine looking tartan. I look forward to seeing it in person.

Sorry I did not let you know it was sort of a last minute idea and as it was about 4:30 am when I left and 4:30 pm when I got home I really did not want to be out too much later. BTW I was told that even though I do have new license you know the one you can cross the border with, that I still need my birth certificate as well. That is not what my government tells me though some border guards at the Queenston Lewiston Bridge think so.
