Hey that's pretty neat! I'm all for it. This is exactly how these cool things get started. I'm going to try my hand at one and post some photos of it.
The leaves are also very good eating.

Just a few days ago I reread the thread about our 'unofficial' clan status, plant, motto, etc. Don't remember seeing Bill's poem in that thread, but it seems somehow very appropriate to our group.
Arlen, that looks pretty darn close to the real thing, good on ya! Give us a couple of pics after you get a couple of leaves on. I think I'll have to try to make one also, as I have yet to have any pop up in my yard this spring, and then the do they tend to get wilted stems not too long after picking, and the artificial one would certainly take care of that.

Great looking badge there. I'd go for it!

Thanks for the compliments, guys.
I went ahead and picked some Dandelion leaves today just to see how it looks.
I like it a lot so I am looking for a suitably realistic but sturdy set of fake leaves that I can shape into some Dandelion leaves.
P.S.
Turpin, I managed to change it so it attaches with a discreet pin without poking my head, :P

Like the leaves, when you are able to craft some artificial leaves you'll surely have a long lasting plant badge to wear.
Now, a question from a novice... Does the plant badge get worn benind the cap badge, or in place of the cap badge? I assume from other readings, and from the Scottish gentleman that I sometimes see around town that the plant badge gets worn in conjuction with and behind the metal badge, but would like to verify this. Thanks.

I like it a lot. I will be more than happy to wear it a lot once I have made some good leaves.
As for where to wear it, I have always seen and worn it with the plant and leaves held behind the cap badge.
Good luck!

Yeah, but Arlen, don't you think the weed speaks better as an example of us

If only it wasn't so hard to find in a sturdy, artificial form.

Aww, I like this. I think it looks great! Good luck on finding what you need to make the leaves. Can't wait to see more photos

I like it! the best part is the leaves--you've got two leaves held up in a "victory" sign. Another variation would be two leaves crossed to make an "X" behind the flower. Overall a good look!
