9th Annual Frederick Celtic Festival

I'll check back on this thread in the morning if we decide to go to Frederick but is there any interest in an X-marks gathering at a given time and place?
I've never been to this event so have no idea of the layout to suggest a place and as far as a time... just not while Enter the Haggis or Hunting McLeod are playing.

I hope all had a good time. I could not be there due to the weather and flat tires on 2 vehicles in two days.

I just got back. Met Canawler and his wife. The music was great, The Hunting Mcleods, Enter the Haggis and a third that I will have to look up their name. The grounds were muddy after two days of rain, but they were putting straw down in the bad spots.

It is a small venue and some of the vendors did not make it because of the rain. When I was leaving it was noted that the crowd was growing and everyone seemed to enjoy them selves.

Third musical group was Rant & Roar.
We just got back too... quite the mudfest, eh?

Sorry we missed you. Sooner or later we'll meet up at one of these events.
I also met Mael Coluim after Cacunn left.

We had a good time despite the mud, even though this festival is a little on the small side. I certainly enjoy the musical acts more when you can be up close without being crowded. It's also nice to be able to talk to the bands when they are hanging around with literally nothing to do.

For those who have never seen Hunting McLeod and like rock music, I highly recommend them. Most of the crowd had never seen them before but they seemed to draw bigger crowds than Enter the Haggis.

LOL... no.
I was wearing a rather disheveled Hunting Stewart great kilt, natural linen shirt, hand-knitted tam, and tons of mud on my knee-high mocs.

(thought just occurred to me... I no longer shave my head, as in my avatar... my hair is now just about shoulder length)
