Today's addition: my first new tattoo in many years (and my tax refund "splurge")!

I wanted something Nordic, but also like the simplicity of the tribal-style tats, so I came up with this:



The design is taken from an 11th C. Viking bone pin unearthed at Trondheim, Norway:



The runes are from the "Younger Futhark", the system in use in Scandanavia during the so-called Viking Age. They are S, B, H, and L - the initials of my wife and three sons....
