That is a wonderful addition to any collection, and you look great in it. I too really like the sporran and belt and have been looking at leather sporrans for some time now perhaps my next sporran will come from them. The entire outfit looks smashing, well done and congratulations.

Thank you, all, for the kind words!
I posted in this section believing that the tweed made it non-traditional. I stand corrected, and happily so! Thank you Mr. Newsome for the clarification on selvedge construction. My next adventure is to find a tweed with a closed selvedge, then!
I am one of only a few kilt-wearers in Bozeman, and proudly so. I turn heads every time I go out (which my wife enjoys) and I enjoy dressing well. (As I look at my pics ... my shirt isn't properly tucked and I'm not wearing a cap. I'd never leave the house such a condition!)
I only need to gain approval to wear kilts to work... I'm going to work on that when my supervisor comes back to town next week.

All the Harris tweed I have worked with has come with a wonderful closed selvedge.

(The lighter weight Ettrick tweeds you also see me offer on the bottom of that page all require hemming).

WOW!!! Absolutely outstanding! I'm starting to really love the tweeds.
Great job on the hose too! Wife needs to practice knitting those.

Looks really sharp. I have to admit, the whole idea of tweed kilts is growing on me.
