I think he's just trying to avoid the Crown's taxes on the whisky.

    OK I'll add a few

The start of a kilted adventure passing Carlisle Guild Hall

We had coffee in the cafe in the market which is run by David Dalglish's daughter and son-in-law, seen here with David and P1M

David introduces his grand daughter to WalkerK

    The Cursing Stone

Thanks everyone for a truly wonderful time. It was a trip with memories for a lifetime.

Yes, Madalyn was off for the day with her "Fuchsia Friends" touring Lockerbie. And she had discovered the "anything for a Pound" stores - like our dollar stores but twice as expensive.

The pictures have been great. Here's a few more:

    Some curses hurt the deepest...

Wear a 16 oz. kilt if you walk the parapets. It's breezy!

Arlen pondering where to begin the reiving.

    Always good advice...

WalkerK in the Great Hall of Carlisle Castle.

    From the Ramparts

    Next we visited Carlisle Cathedral

    Inside the Cathedral

The size of the organ pipes can be appreciated by comparison with the organist playing from the illuminated area below the pipes.

    Ann in the Cathedral

I conclude with a candid shot as the rabble walks along English Street on our way for an evening meal.

A-HA! So WalkerK really DID make it over there! Hmmm...I see no sign of Madalyn. She is probably out blowing buckets of money on tartan items.
