The back bow works to ease tension, it's a kind of compound bow, adding about 10 or 15lbs pressure. It would be nice to see.

We might just make one. The group I shoot with will be at the local Medieval Fair for four days, we get a lot done while the classes are coming by our tent. We break a lot of bows as well. lol

I've got one, [I'm abenaki, same culture/language grouping] hickory, backed with snake, definatly an attention getter... It shoots a little weird, but works. There is doubt as these being pre-contact, so I watch where I use it.
I know someone who got a powhatan [new world] bow from the same maker listed above, a board bow, but workable and not bad for the money.
It seems yew 'D' section english pattern bows with antler or horn tips used to show up at antique shops and flea markets with regularity fairly cheap some years back, but it's been a while since I've seen one.
