First of all, that's a beautiful description of your encounter with the fox.
Second, "traditionally carved Russian bone"...made from real a real Russian? It looks beautiful.

beautiful story and great looking pin.
I regularly [every month or so] see fox in the city and it always gives me a special thrill to see natural adapting and coping with mans encroachment.
My best ever city animal sighting was seeing a beaver on the river under the intersection of two freeways [6th Ave. & I-25 for those familiar with Denver].
Wear that pin with pride

Very lovely. I like the fluid swirls at the bottom and how graceful the fox is.
I love the feel of bone. I have a couple tatting shuttles in bone and one with scrimshawed Mammoth ivory.
