There is nothing like pride in workmanship!
Considering how kilts tend to be handed down or passed on, it's nice to have the measurements permanently attached. Very cool!

Bu this I assume you mean kilt shrinkage. I notice that kilts and other clothing seem to shrink when hung in closets.

I believe that this was suggested about a year ago and possibly that in addition to the maker, client, date and size that the name of the tartan and a brief history could be added.

As to manufacture; there are many products available that allow the common inkjet printer to print directly onto cotton fabric. I have been doing this for a few years for my wife's quilts. I got my first supplies at a local computer store and later at an office supply store.
