Well, I am a hat kind of guy, don't leave the house without something on my head. I think you look just fine...go for it!

Have you heard of the Tilley Hat? It looks similar.

That was my first thought! You pull it off magnificently. Personally, I think that accessories have more to do with the person wearing them than the actual item being worn. I could wear that exact same outfit and look rediculous, where you look like Sean Connery. I'm a noggin wrap kind of guy myself.

You beat me to it. I have a similar hat I wear when I'm out walking the dogs, hiking etc. I think it looks good.
Splash, I have a couple of fedoras but haven't worn them with a kilt yet. Do you have some pics you could post. I'd like to see how it looks. I have a hard time judging by looking at myself in the mirror. Mostly because the mirror keeps cracking

Sure thing.... Although this photo is painful as my wifes camera broke right after the shutter click!

I think this hat would go better with jeans but I guess it's OK for America. If people can wear baseball caps with kilts, you can wear anything !
...and you wear it so well!

I'd wear it in France too.

Looks great, Derek. I don't own any hats like that, but I just might get one.

I like the hat with your kilt. I definitely don't think every hat goes with every kilt but, IMO, that one works.
