Please forgive my ignorance, but who is Dave Ramsey? I thought it was a little scary that I was thinking counter suit and like a lawyer, guess my masters degree from Boston University in Criminal Justice just might pay for itself.
Oh, and I am wanting so many kilts it is not funny, I bought the District Tartans book and there are so many nice tartans out there, plus I am still trying to design a tartan for Boston University, but if I really come into some money I won't need any funding at all.
Cheers
Chris
PS, my new avatar is a tartan I designed on the STA website, such a fun tool.

Dave Ramsey is a guy on the radio who talks about finance management and stuff. It just so happens my dad gave me one of his books for Christmas. Between us, I haven't read it all yet but I own my car and rent an apartment so I didn't have that much to start with (not a bad thing I know).
The money I would normally pay per month towards my credit card and loan will now go into a seperate savings account. My JIC fund.

Congratulations,
My spouse and I are happy that we paid off the mortgage three years ago. We have never had car payments. The goal is to keep all the current stuff current.
We keep a one year JIC fund. After that kilts, books......

Seems like a better time now more than ever to get right back into debt! Call up Newsome or Tewksbury, they'll fix your problem.

I may sell the car and buy a dang horse. Gas is double what it was less than 3 years ago.

My wife and I have our morgage, and by the standards of the area we live it very low. Other then that no car payments no credit card payments. Bills get payed when they come in. I am a very lucky guy I married a woman who does not want or care for all the new things in life. She would rather see money in the bank and pay for things with cash if it is going to be a big buy.
We bought her car cash, she would not have it any other way.

I remember going to the Building Society and paying off the mortgage. It was quite a heady feeling.
Also rather daunting, young people have debts, not to have any seemed dangerously old.
I walked down the High Street and gave ten pounds to a scruffy man sitting in a doorway. He did not have a dog on a bit of string so I thought it would be OK. I hoped that he would not do anything detrimental with it, but I did not actually care how he spent it. He was really shocked.
I think I was slightly drunk on the lack of future payments.
