Like Collin, I have tried Arrogant Bastard, but Belhaven's St. Andrews is more my cup of tea.

I consider myself to be a beer enthusiast. I enjoyed it. I liked the marketing angle (I bought two bottles the first time.) I don't know if this beer, in a blind taste test, would be a top selection for me.

Great responses... Thanks.
I don't see it here in Ontario, otherwise I would check it out just because of the name.
I have never been able to acquire a taste for Guinness, so I was wondering if this beer was in that category.
If anybody knows if this stuff can be had in the Toronto area, please let me know.
Cheers,
Rick

Good stuff! Not in my regular rotation but definately worthy of picking up every once in a while.
If you like a darker brew it's worth investigating. If you live near me and don't like it I'll swing by and pick up any remainder!

I find it rather tasty, now and then. But then, if you ask my wife, it's a suitable beverage for me ;)

I like it, I like it a lot...I haven't had a beer from Stone that wasn't at least "good". It's adventurous stuff, not meant to be a session beer, but as a treat, it's nice stuff, especially the Double B****d.
For those that don't have access to this beer, it is a very strong, dark ale, similar to a barely wine, or perhaps, a bit closer to a Belgian trippel.
As Eric Idle of Monty Python would say "it's not a beer for drinking, it's a beer for laying down and avoiding...particularly heavy, and should only be used for hand-to-hand combat. Really opens up the sluices at both ends."

Yeah, it really was rough at first.
For Virginians, it can be found at the beer & wine shop in old downtown Ashland. BTW, they have an outstanding selection. They carry Madeira & mead too.
