Yes. In fact, I will be later this year.
EDIT: On a different note, I think we need to convince Jerry to carry some more tartans. Who is with me on this?

I have worn my wool Nightstalker to a couple weddings. It stands up very well to the more traditionally handmade kilts, in appearance, at least. The real difference I've found is in the fit. My tank fits so well that I hardly know I've got it on. I had to get the hip strap on my Nighstalker adjusted, since my thighs are freakishly huge and muscular. And then there is that annoying curl issue with the first pleat on the left. A little creative ironing takes care of that problem, though. Ad in reality, my wool SWK doesn't have the problem nearly as bad as my standards.
So I guess that to finish this off, I would say that if you take care of your SWK, in the pictures, no one will be able to tell the difference.

On the *tropical* kilt, the pleats are about 3/4". not much swing...
I know the pleats on the SWK is about 3" but the acrylic fabric is bit scary...
How is the feel different from wool ??? Or do we feel it at all ???
I know some of you guys own a SWK, how does it differ from a tank???
Thanks
SWK is simply the best in affordable kilts by my opinion.
The heavy weight swk (black watch) is 16oz wool, so if that isnt a tank then i cant tell you the difference between it and a tank. I love the kilt i bought from SWK. If you can't afford a handsewn from Barb or Kathy, buy a SWK. Thats my opinion.

I would wear one out on a formal outing.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

I have a SWK Nightstalker and Blackwatch, and a 16 oz tank. I would say the SWKs are the Chevrolet and the tank is somewhere between a Mercedes and a Rolls Royce. So to continue the analogy, perfectly adequate transport, but not a lot of prestige.

The strange thing about SWK kilts seems to be they arnt always 24". I thought i was going to have to hem mine also but it turns out the kilt is only 22 1/2" so i just hiked it up further and it hits me about mid knee. ( i'm a 21 1/2") If your a top of the knee kinda guy you may need to have it hemmed. There are threads here on just that subject. Like i said though, if ya have the extra money, buy the heavy weight wool. I love mine.

There are those here who would say not to do it, but I have done so several times...
This is an SWK...

I'm sitting here in my SWK Nightstalker atm and I'll tell you about it.
Compared to my What Price Glory WWI style kilt, it is light weight. But in the summer, I could use something lighter, like a Celtic Croft phillabeg. It's in between those kinda, but on the light side.
As for the fabric, it feels like the softest wool you've ever touched. I was considering making a kilt from alpacca wool until I bought this thing. This is a much simpler solution. Nothing could be this soft and gentle.
I will wear my SWK Nightstalker through 3/4 of the year probably. I would certainly wear my SWK standard to any formal function.

I would NOT wear it to a formal event, but I really enjoy wearing it for casual outings.
