    Yep that's a great looking pin alright.
    I made one some time ago, mine I bent some brass rod (4mm I think) and epoxyied it into the blunt soft end of the antler end after drilling of course.
    BTW you heat the brass first then quench it in water, this stops it being so brittle and makes it more easily bendable.
