But, seriously, I've been thinking about a Utilikilt lately.
Ya know, I would not have ever considered a camo... until now.
Good one!

I have only been at this kilt thing for a little over 6 months but have already graduated from my personal family tartan, forrester modern, to the macdonald clan ancient of which my family is a sept, and to two subsequent regional tartans, black isle and isle of skye, simply because i like their looks. i still have a couple more family tartans i would like to get---ancient douglas and ancient red douglas since we are also a sept of that major clan and they are beautiful tartans, and allen 1996 tartan since my grandfather's mother was an Allen, plus it is a beautiful tartan. The more I get into this the more I am struck by the beauty of the various tartans, but still seek for some personal connection most of the time. One of my favorite professors in college was named Fraser and I think i would like to get something in the fraser red to honor him, since he was an important figure in my life and how I got to where I am professionally and intellectually. I guess maybe I am just looking for excuses to get some new kilts sometimes, or maybe just excuses to yearn for new ones.

....A-a-and, I used to say that I would never wear a Utilikilt or an acrylic one. But now, my girlfriend is hinting that she thinks I would look good in a Utilikilt. I'm POSSESSED!!

I could wear kilts in non-tartan colours, but only my clan one feels 'right' to me as far as tartan goes.
However, and I truly don't mean this in a pompous way, I've no problem with others collecting kilts as a hobby.
Cheers
