It was a perfect day for visiting the Warplane Museum. Wonderful weather.
I'm delighted that the Limey had a great time.
Sorry I couldn't make it guys. I'll join you at the next outing.
Cheers

I meant the Limey with the funny accent. (Not the funny hair)
I assume Alex had a funny accent. Having been born lo these 60 years ago in the quaint hamlet of Blackburn, and having since lost my own funny accent (Except when the weather turns cold and my upper lip freezes stiff (Stiff Upper Lip)), I consider "Limey" to be only a few notches down from nobility.
Alex, welcome to Canader eh?
Cheers

A Limey is a slang word that can be offensive to the wrong person. My English grandmother hated that word. It's origin is a reference to British sailors in the Caribbean using Limes in place of Lemons.

Being English born I've been called Limey a lot. I'll wear it with pride of a time when Britannia ruled the waves. Although there are words that are no longer in my vocabulary and I cringe when others use those, words are just that, words. I'll never allow another to gain control of me by taking offence.
