That's very interesting... I do like the brighter colors. But, first thoughts are "I'm glad I have the darker version in someone's queue for a kilt "

I actually prefer the darker one. It does look different and enough so that you could indeed get away with having both in your wardrobe. Congrats to the jonesing xmarker, they have something unique (for the time being!).

I kind of like the original lighter version, but the "redesigned" darker version is very appealing too. Might have to put them both on the wish list. To be considered a weathered, ancient, modern version does the tartan have to have the exact same sequencing?

Hehehe. I'm getting a little confused as to which one is the "old" one and which one the "new" one.

I think I prefer the darker one, myself. I think the lighter one is a bit too loud for me. But that's just me.

I am sure whoever it is will be very pleased with their kilt, though!

I'll have to see it finished before I pass judgment on which I like better, but I can tell you I'm extremely fond of the darker tartan so it's gonna take some real "wow" to change my mind.

Last week-end there was a gent in a really light blue tartan, but I couldn't get away from the booth to go find out what it was.... It was new to me. (which granted, isn't saying much!)

That looks good, I like both tartans but I think the lighter one looks more appealing for me.
