Be well,
Thank you The F-H.C.A.G. I think I'd like cargo pockets on my kilts, so I don't have to worry about a sporran (I only have 1 sporran). I just saw your corduroy Xkilt thread. It's fantastic. Thanks for the pictures of its progression!!
I'm currently making 3 khaki Xkilts (1 for me and 2 friends). I'll post pics when done...

Yes, I have the same problem. Next time I'll make wider apron and more A shaped. that should calm it down.

Excellent work. I especially like the detail work on the cargo pocket.
Enjoy!

Aye! Actually, the corruption is working both ways - one of them has a Locharron Burnett tartan trad of about more than 25 years that I was so lucky to see and look at - workmanshipwise, while I was making my first DIY kilt (traditional make, but of denim fabric).
We all went out last night to dinner and then to their square dance class in our kilts (made by me - them: 2 khaki Xkilts and me: the olive green Xkilt). So it was refreshing to do so in the company of others kilted. I have a feeling I'll be making more!! ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
I have to say that they've became believers in me and my ability to make kilts. Initially, they practically laughed (or sneered) at my voicing out the intention to make a traditional kilt about a month ago. They are now most supportive!

Thank you for your encouraging, positive comments.
Here's a two-tone cargo pocket that I made for Kilt#3:

Can you explain a little more about this problem? I'm not sure what is happening, though I have had trouble at that point myself.
On the kilts I make for myself I find that at the edge of the apron, where I have shaped it, the middle layer of the under apron pleat emerges past the edge of the apron. This is with the fabric being folded level along the waistline.
To counter this I raise the inner fold of the pleat up very slightly, so that there is a slender triangle of fabric raised above the waistline. That pulls the fabric back into line at the edge of the apron.
Is that similar to what is happening on your kilt?
