First, always nice to see another Coloradoan here; Nighthawk above is one as well...
For your wedding, my thinking would be that I would want the very best that I can afford; that is what I did with my western frock coat and hat. I looked at John Higgins site, but he didn't have Clarke listed. He might be able to get it. John is who I have gone through to get my formal kilt, aka "tank", and with luck, I might see it next week! Best price for a proper worsted wool custom fitting kilt that I have found; not entirely hand sewn, so it keeps the cost down slightly. Might check and see if he can help you out.

    Good luck...

A hand sewn wool kilt in your tartan is probably less expensive than your bride's gown.

If you gotta scrimp I'm witht he folks who suggest USA Kilts semi-traditional model.

Be sure and order well in advance just to be safe...nothing sadder than kilts that don't arrive in time.

Add www.kathyskilts.com to your list of prospects if you decide to do a quality kilt. down the road from you in Albuquerque.

I will purchase from Frugal Corner as soon as the get the Pride of Scotland back in for a 16oz. Their kilts are good for the price and they do have your family tartan. Just keep in mind how they size their kilts (at the loosest hole on the straps). Simply watch their video on how to size and you should be good.

I did get a rabbit hare (bad pun?) sporran from them. I like it and would recommend it.
