I've always looked upon all tartans with respect for the entity it represents. But, that one is an exception.

    Steve,

You may have stumbled upon the secret of the Old Navy 2009 Men's Summer Line.

Pointing it out will only call the wrong attention on those awful tones.

I think I may start exploring my Czech lineage if I see the locals strutting in THAT as their new wardrobe.

I think it look similar to the Australian Tartan (MacQuarrie) which I don't really like. However, I think it's far from the ugliest.
I would vote the "loud" McLeod at the tartan last on my list.

Well alright, we are all having a wee bit of fun here, but I learnt a long time ago to keep my thoughts to myself on other people's tartan-----it causes less offence that way.

It certainly not pretty, but I think some of the louder tartans I have seen are more damaging to the eye.

I'll just say that I'm not a fan.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear
