Unhappy Sorry, no Scotland, and no kilts

I, too, watched (in its entirety) and first heard Scotland the Brave as Camaroon entered, odd, and then several other times throughout the march, lilting bagpipes bellowed; however, no Scotland, and no kilts, not even from the Irish conclave.

So, if missed the Scottish athletes coming in, were any kilted?
I believe they were playing Music of Different Nations or Nationalities. I did here them Play Scotland the Brave on the Pipes on a loop with other the cultural music of other nations.

Didn't actually see them on TV, but they were live (on the radio yesterday afternoon, I heard they actually marched in just ahead of Yemen for some reason).

Anyway here is an article and a really small pic,

If the order in which the countries were marching seemed unusual, I heard on NPR that they would be marching in an order determined by the number of strokes in the Chinese character that represented the country's name. The commentator mentioned that this would be rather difficult for the folks used to the usual alphaabetical order that we are used to.

I was keeping an eye out for kilts as well but no dice.

I heard the pipes and began to look for the pipers and was disappointed not to see them. However it was neat to have pipes included in the musical montage. And it was mentioned several times about the order of the countries being based on Chinese calligraphy of the name and the number of strokes needed for each name.

But even more interesting was the whole opening ceremonies - they just WOW'ed me!

Mains of Fintry Pipe Band grade 4 (presumably no grade 1 bands would have wanted it as it would have clashed with the world championships)
