My wife is not on board with the whole kilt thing.
I recently recieved a kilt from my daughter for father's day. It's a Stillwater Thrifty Kilt in USMC Leatherneck Tartan. I wish to start wearing out and about on ocassion, but she has put he foot down every time...refusing to go with me. I have even taken an informal survey of neighbors, friends and clients, who all agree that it's really no biggie if I showed up in a kilt. I don't really care one way or the other. With me it's what you see, is what you get. I regularly wear button through suspenders workshirts and eight panel (newsboy caps) so I generally look alot different than any of my kids parents on meet the teacher night at school. I have even had some kickers made up by my seamstress.
Problem is my dewey eyed bride will not entertain the notion that anything but trousers should be worn by men. Anything resembling a skirt is reserved for women. No amount of education by my part has yet to change her mind.
