    Me, I don't wear hose, and I usually wear sandals. I also find my SK entirely acceptable in sub-zero (Fahrenheit) temperatures, and never wear more than a t-shirt. I also enjoy walking barefoot in the snow.

    I guess going kiltie requires that. I have begun to adapt, though: it was truly wierd deliberately buying long socks after hating them in school. But they work. Going for a (slightly) longer kilt would be another adaptation! The trick there would be to make it not look like a women's skirt...

    Maybe that's my problem: none of my kilts are wool. The one I had on yesterday is poly-viscous. I would like a wool one, but it will have to wait until there's cash in the kitty to afford one.

    Last year, when the temperature dropped below -20 F (around -30 C), I still wore a kilt. Sure my knees got a little red when I came inside, but otherwise I was doing alright. My blood is thick enough for a real Wisconsin winter.
