I'm next, I'm next! at least I think I'm the next newest owner of a freedom kilt... mine's on the table
The kilt curmudgeon (as I've heard him referred to) has had such a great reputation here, when I needed something custom done, I looked him up.

Think I first met Steve on another board. He turned me on to X Marks four years ago and I'm most grateful for that.
I've owned three Freedom Kilts (two have moved on to live with thinner men). All three kilts have been "bulletproof." No skimping on construction. There's no doubt they're "Marine Made."
Its also been a privledge to break bread with Steve and his lovely wife Bobbie.
You just can't go wrong doing business with the man.

I agree with what everybody else has said. I'm lucky enough to live a ten minute drive from Steve's shop, and a visit there is always an enjoyable event. Steve, all the best to you, Bobbie and Freedom Kilts, and I look forward to seeing you again tonight!
I have met and spoken with Steve a few times and it has always been fun. Steve is proud to talk about his work and for good reason. I have had the opportunity to see many types of kilts and to check out different styles, but Steve's kilts are in a class by themselves. Not only are they bulletproof, but they are made to measure, made with care, and they have had a lot of though put into their construction. When I break the tartan mold, I will go with a Freedom kilt. Highly recommend product and company.
The nice thing about that desert camouflage kilt you see Steve in all the time is that it takes coffee spills really nicely.
