Do you turn the belt buckle and sporran to the side so you don't scratch up the finish on your guitar?
Great looking outfit, you need to get some action shots from a gig for us.

Action shots are definitely in order. Scooby would love your "Elvis" pose too; I'll have to make sure and show him your pics.

Yes--they both easily slide over onto my left hip. That's why I prefer a solid sporran belt to one with trigger snaps. I am, however, going to have figure out what to do about the snap tops on the UK and AK. I don't mind a little mojo on my guitars, but I prefer to beat them up slowly rather than during one gig. I'm thinking an apron-like thingy with he band logo on it that attaches to a regular waist measured sporran belt might be the ticket...

Your spirit shines through more than the kilt. Man are you hooked!!...
Thanks Ron! I am definitely hooked on the kilt--and you are an inspiration. I've looked through your PhotoBucket album many times to help me build my list of must haves. As for my spirit, I was a stage actor for many years (as well as a street performing juggler) so I got HAM!

A kilted guitarist - isn't your wife worried about groupies?...
My wife fronts the band, and always looks much better than I do--even, sad to say, when I'm kilted.

An alternative would be to get a (micro-fiber) towel big enough to cover the back of the guitar, at least in the areas of concern, then attach elastic to the towel in the appropriate locations in order to temporarily affix the towel to the back of the guitar.

I think that would work OK with a Strat or similar style (a guitar with a cut-out or two). It may be a little more problematic with a standard-shaped acoustic. The elastic may not look really pretty, but you may be able to find something stretchy that's more suitable. (Like rubberized plastic bands. Minimal stretch, but non-abrasive.)
