    I've got a set with tan suede uppers with dark brown leather "saddle" (I've always heard them called saddle shoes).

    Never thought to wear em with the kilt, but I can see how they could look pretty sharp for day wear.

    The specific design or style varies.....
    Those are saddle shoes, not spectators. Refer to Kilted Surveyor's post right above my head.

    I'm partial to the style shown in the 2nd photo of Kilted Surveyor's post, and in fact was exactly what I was envisioning when creating this thread...
