Definitely Two Little Boys though it doesn't seem to get much airtime these days.

Well it might as he has just rerecorded it with the Fron Male Voice Choir!

Check out amazon.com - they have several of his albums on CD.

I just bought the Platinum Collection on amazon, missing the "Big Black Ball" and "Gosport Nancy" (ggod thing I didnīt know what thatīs about as a child...).

I had just recieved news that my very first friend died in Melbourne of AIDS a year ago (!) and this just set me back to the years I spent with him in the early 70īs. Rolf Harris is like a soundtrack to that time.

Now I have introduced my children ...

My favourite song was "Nic Teen and Al. K. Hall" but now I think "Sun arise" is one of his best!

He did that for a TV show here in Australia, every week the musical bit was "Stairway to Heaven" played by a different type of performer/musical group. Rolf was one of many. I have the collection of them on VHS tape called "Stairways to Heaven". Their was a big band version, a poetry reading, an Elvis version etc.

Rolf was a regular performer at the old Cave Supper Club in Vancouver. My fave tune is "Jake The Peg". I think Rudy Coby watched one too many Rolf shows in his youth.

You know, we are glossing over "The Ladies of the Harem of the Court of King Caractacus" which I used to sing to my kids when they were little ones and I was giving them a bath. And they loved it every time...lots of fun taking care of those kids and that song was part of it.

And now my daughter tells me: "I know that song!"

And yes, she learnt a german version of "tie me kangaroo down" at school ... in Germany!

We certainly are! I'd forgotten that one. Thanks for the memory, AA.

Another vote for Rolf's take on Stairway To Heaven, which can be found on the CD, "Stairways To Heaven," with 12 of the many different versions of Stairway To Heaven performed at the end of the Aussie show AL-58 was talking about, "The Money Or The Gun." Sadly, the album is out-of-print, but well worth locating if you're into Dr. Demento-type dementia & novelty. I also enjoy The Beatnix's convincingly Beatlesque take on the Zep classic.
