I sit like Sharon Stone in Fatal Atraction.
Oh yeah. I went there.

Not quite. Camilla is sitting with her legs crossed at the ankles like ladies were once taught to do. While men often sit with their legs splayed wide, I do wish they'd pull them together a bit when sitting in crowded spaces.
I find, though, that modesty is easier when sitting like Connery in a traditional kilt with a sporran.

If i'm sitting at a dining table I sit with knees sorta close but I have my ankles crossed.More comfortable to me,but even then the knees tend to drift apart.
Never as wide as Connery, and for sure not the Sharon Stone, but I have been caught crossing one knee over the other.
I wonder if women ever discuss how each other sit.

Some of us have our own style!
An besides which how do we know that either Charles or Sir Sean always sit the same way?

The PC posture might be effectual in rather blustery or inclimate weather. But, probably not for longer than it takes to get the sporran or other guard handily positioned.
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?
