Nice kilt and with guns like yours snide comments from ignorant uneducated pant wearing folks will be no problem should words not be able to handle the situation.
I really think that there should be two law enforcement tartans, one for the police more blues and dark colors, and another for the sheriff’s, which would resemble more of a hunting tartan with more browns and greens.
I think I may post a thread this weekend on solo self portraits and what equipment is required.

I agree with all of the above. It looks great on you, welcome to the club!
I have to assume that the pics are the mirror view of you, though, since the kilt pin looks like it's on your left side. Am I right?

Very true. I'll have to have someone grab better pics this weekend.

Good choice for a first kilt. It looks good. Where did you find the sporran?

Congrats Derek. I'm sure I'll see it at some games or festival. I'll keep posting scheduled Central Florida events as they come. Saturday is the Dunedin event, but I'll probably miss it. Jan 10th is Ft Lauderdale, then Orlando is the following weekend.

That's a pretty cool idea, really. I was really quite humbled when I discovered there were law enforcement tartans and especially when I discovered the Law Enforcement Memorial Tartan; USAKilts will be getting my money soon to have that one made.

That's why you need to be in SARASOTA on Friday or Saturday!
