I thought it was funny too! And it's definitely a GOOD reason (as long as a knee-length kilt is sufficient to preserve modesty)!!

I really don't think that I'm the least bit puritanical...BUT...

I don't know that we need some wise-*** making flippant remarks like this because it just perpetuates this immature obsession that some people have about "what's under the kilt?". It's a non-topic...nobody's business. Don't need some schmuck doing things like this just for effect.

It's bad grammar, something up with which we should not put!

But it's also bound to create Freudian complexes!

Considering this lawyer's character, this episode would have been funnier if "So why are YOU wearing a kilt?" had followed "If you are on the smaller side, then pants are not uncomfortable."

George Carline used to do a bit in which he complained about the word "fine," saying it was just such a soft, flabby word. He said that when people would ask him how we was, he'd say, "I'm not unwell, thank you," which bothered people because they had to figure it out for themselves.

Well, I thought the lawyer's response was funny. Also, the phraseology reminded me a lot of the way my father speaks when he is doing his lawyer thing. Therefore, i do not think it was an incorrect way of speaking.

And furthermore....at least people noticed he had a kilt!

And more furthermore, why is no one complaining about the reporter for asking why the lawyer was wearing a kilt in the first place? What did it have to do with the topic at hand? NOTHING!
