You know, Nighthawk... You could probably get away with red hose and the green kilt with green flashes, But only because of the red hair. Now if you had long green hair...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

And what makes you think I haven't?

The red will tie into your red hair and balance the top and bottom.
That's what my friend Amber has said about my saffron. She told me it brings out the ROAR! in my hair.

Oh! Why I'm sure you have, Nighthawk; just not all the time...

As far as hair, THE saffron would bring out the lion in your hair, but the green would bring out the dragon.
My hair is charcoal brown with very, dark-auburn highlights, so I have to stick to wood elf colors.

I like the earth tones myself. I want one of those MacRea's from SWK, but for the most part, earth tones look best on me.

Get yourself a long, carved walking staff then and you will be set... You probably already have one.

As a matter of fact... I do. I take it hiking. Am I really that predictable?

Hmmm... We're probably just cut from the same tablecloth. Different stain, but the same tablecloth.
In my mind, I could see you out in nature with the staff... but in your blue, black, and white kilt.

My friend, your minds eye is working perfectly. I'm so in love with the Rockies. I go to the mountains every chance I get. I can't wait to be able to find myself a rock to sit on and play my chanter at 12,000 feet in the air. I know exactly where I want to do that, too. There is a spot on Mt Evens around Echo Lake that looks out onto the western expanse of the mountains. You can see for hundreds of miles, across the Continental Divide. It's breathtaking- both in beauty and lack of O2! I figure that if I can spend an hour playing there without hyperventilating, I should be good to go with an actual set of bagpipes. So in your mind's eye, visualize that- a big redhead in kilt, in the mountains, playing Highland Cathedral on his chanter.

Someday, it will be the full set of pipes playing up there. Probably scare the wildlife for miles...

I'm a month away from having saved the money I need for a set of Dunbar P3's. I should have those by February. However, I don't know that I'll be confident enough in my ability to play the pipes in front of anyone but my instructor for a while. Never know though...
