I really like your pictures, Gunnar. I have been in Iceland twice and the landscapes are simply fantastic. Last time was five years ago where I took part in a marketing seminar in Reykjavik.
One afternoon at the Blue lagoon I had a little talk with an American professor. He asked me if I did understand how a small country like Iceland obviously made it so economically well. I didn’t, he neither.
We talked about aluminum production, tourism, fishing and came to no conclusion. Then it must be the Americans that pay them for something, he concluded. It didn’t make much sense, but nothing that we could imagine did. Now we know.
Hopefully you can now benefit from more tourists. At least your country is very much worth a visit.

Lovely shots and some great colour in the landscape and the sky.
I have to admit I have only visited Iceland once, and I have no excuse, it is only a one hour and forty minutes flight from Scotland!

Iceland is on my "Bucket List". Your photos just made me more determined to get their one day.
Thanks,

Beedee nailed it: for us Highland-hearted folk, these are "gotta-see" places, views that give wings to one's spirit.
Such places take your breath away . . then give it back, only bigger.
Only thing missing from thses shots are men in kilts, and women in nothing . . uh-oh! - did I just write that out loud?!!
I am so bad on Saturday afternoons! I gotta go drink about this!

Beautiful photos. The picture of the snow capped mountains with the ring of clouds is absolutely breathtaking.
