That kilt is made of 11 oz PV, and there is no reinforcement in the waist area at all. It was designed for hiking, and is really lightly built, thus the tendency to gather a bit. Point taken, but with a pack on, not an issue.
Or maybe Glen just has a big butt....

Looks like a nice cheery, clean-looking summertime kilt. I'm sure you will get much enjoyment out of that one.

Glen: Nice kilt and you wear it well.
Almost five years I bought one myself. It was a cheap poly viscose 4 yard kilt from Tartanwear Direct – an enterprise no longer on the market. I haven’t used it for a long time, perhaps because of the Burberry look, but your photos inspired me to start wearing it again. Mine is pleated to the set. I should like to have a box pleated kilt some day.
And Paul Henry: Interesting article about Burberry.

I must say that when I first looked at thompson tartan samples this one didn't strike me well, but seeing it made into a kilt on you makes me reconsider. It looks very good on you.

Seriously, Glen, the Thompson is good and it looks good on you.
