Sounds like a great evening.

Aye... I go away for a day or three and I miss everything! Yes... I neglected to mention the name of the brewery... Craggie Brewing in Asheville, NC. BUT, I have to plug my favorite brewery overall, the French Broad Brewing Company. Check 'em out!

For a good beer/ale, try the Midas Touch Golden Elixir at Dogfish Head Brewery in Delaware. It is made from a recipe derived from actual beer residue from King Midas' tomb, and is the oldest known fermented beverage in the world. Excellent!

We just missed you!
Geez, Bryan! My wife and I went to the Craggie tasting last week, too. One of the owners is a former student of mine. We got there about 5:30 and only stayed long enough for a couple of beers before having to head off to our next engagement. Sorry we missed you.
I didn't have time to change that evening, so you were the only kiltie in attendance, I suppose. And you're right...there were a goodly number of attractive ladies there.
I wore my Carolina box-pleat the last time I was at one of their events. Their beers are great. What a shame that they have to give them away! ![Laughing](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
Nelson! You gotta come up for one of the Craggie events. I'll get some dates to you asap.

Jonathan, the head brewer and I am assuming co-owner, is a friend of mine through some bandmates in one of my projects, Brushfire Stankgrass. We're actually playing a party/benefit concert this coming Thursday in Swannanoa at the Pisgah Brewing Co. PM me for directions/details if you're interested.
I agree with you on the giveaway part... Jonathan is already setting up distribution deals with local pubs and such to get his beers out there and start making a profit. He'll do it for sure... he makes a great, unique variety!
Stay in touch... we'll have to meet and organize an Asheville-area kilt night sometime... Jack Of The Wood seems like a prime location!
Cheers...
