Hey Chantal
Unfortunately there is no tartan for our name. There are a couple of tartans that apply to our counties however. Irish Crest and House of Edgar both carry their version of our county tartans. I sort of lean to the more muted colors from HOE. There is also the SWK solid green "Shadow tartan" and the Saffron from SWK that are great. I've had the solid green for some time and it works well for quite a few occassions i.e. very versatile. There is the Irish National, from several vendors, that hits the main colors and hues of our beloved Ireland.
There is also the Ulster Red and the Ulster Ancient from several weavers. Our own McMurdo has an Ulster Red and the Ulster Ancient is at the top of my list for the next kilt purchase.
My people are Scots-Irish with ties to the MacKenzies. We left or were thrown out of Scotland back in the 1400's and then emigrated to Ireland and settled on the NW coast in Donegal. My grandfather then emigrated to the US @1890. I could go on, but... There is plenty of info right here on XMTS for you to browse through, so have at it. We are all proud of our heritage, so don't let a silly thing like no tartans for our name stop you from joining in. Get a kilt and celebrate your cultural heritage.

Greetings, 22 December, 647amMST
Why don't you design your own tartan? Have a look at the Scottish Tartans Authority website:
www.tartansauthority.com
Snoop around there. They have a program for tartan designing. so you can DIY.
If you think back to your ancestry, and places/people/things that you would like to represent in your tartan, you can design it there. If you have some mist shrouded link to the MacKenzies, perhaps you can look at one of their tartans as a foundation to work from.
You will have to be fairly creative in what you do, because if you hit on a design you like and want to register, the STA will check it for authenticity and run it through their database to see if it is unique and not a reproduction of something else.
I did this a few years ago for our County Sheriff's Department. If you go to the STA website, you can see it. Their catalog # 6829, "Canyon County Idaho Sheriff".
When I undertook the idea, I thought about what colors would be appropriate to represent the Department.
I started with a very basic design. Black and light brown undercheck, red and white overcheck lines.
Black is for the color of their uniforms, light brown represents the color of weathered asphalt county roads, red for rememberance of those injured in the line of duty, and white represents valor, integrity and honor of law enforcement personnel.
Once you hit on a design that you like, and decide to have it registered, they will gladly take your money to do so. I think it cost me about $200 to register #6829.
But then, it is like a copyright, or patent. If when you go through all that, and you decide to have fabric made up, there are a number of weaving rescources out there who will do custom minimum quantity runs.
Fide et Fortitudine, aye!
