Hamish thanks for taking us on a tour of the inner sactum. What a marvelous kollection you have. I'm certain that the wee Saltire was simply overtaken by the grandness of the experience and will be much better behaved tomorrow.

You know... sometimes you hear about stuff, listen to stories and you say to yourself "Hey, how great..."
Then you SEE it...
It"ll take me a while to get over this.... What a Kollection.... (and I've only seen a small part of it...)

Now, I've heard a lot about Old S-----m from Jamie and two things surprise me:
1) The fact that he is still functioning at all.
2) The possibility that you would actually give him a day off.
But, I guess it was a good thing he wasn't on duty that day-imagine what the little Saltire would have done if only Old S-----m was supervising him!
But seriously folks...
Very nice views into the collection. What's the tartan that is reminiscent of Macleod, but has a pale blue stripe? The one next to the Buchanan?
And don't worry Ham, if the Saltire does not return before the 17th, Jamie's head may explode, but we'll survive it!
Be well,
Star

This is great news Ham ... I am glad our little friend has arrived safely with you. I did forget to put in the letter the little airship is a wee bit inquisitive .. you must put your foot down at times with it.
And Star,
I am sure Jamie's head will have no need to explode .. Ham has all under control I am sure ....
Looking forward to its next batch o adventures ...

I feel like I'm in the gondola of The Saltire, peering out at Kilt Wonderland....focusing on what looks to be an RKilt leather....inhaling...

That would be the Bro-Leon tartan. Here's Ham's thread about it.

Superb pics and narrative, Hamish, good to hear the Saltire is in safe hands and great to see some pics of your Kollection.
