    Thanks for sharing your observations with us Jock. Interesting to me the choice of a tweed argyll. I've been wondering about the versatility of such, and think now that I'll have to move one up my list of wants.

    Thanks for the report. Thank-you for sorting out the newbies. When the hire company ships the pc outfit they usually include a belt!!?? and if you don't know you would probably just put it on. Did you happen to know what yunes the piper played at the funeral??

    Yes the belts were included and interestingly(I have not studied hire kilts closely before) the kilts were cut high enough and the waist coats were cut low enough to do a tailor made outfit justice. We did have a bit of a job persuading one chap to leave the belt off, if he wanted to wear the waist coat. He saw things "our" way in the end!!!

    Tunes at the funeral? The" Dark Isle "was one and "Hector the Hero" was another. The chap's name was Hector and my word, he was one hell of a man with a DSO and MC and bar for starters.So, in anyone's book a hero!
