LOL I can imagine! We moved into the house over 5 years ago and still have boxes in the basement that have not been opened. I told the wife, that if we haven't needed them in this long, then we should just get rid of it all!

No! Don't buy into that! It's not true!
Trust me, I have a great deal of personal experience with that. Just keep your stuff organized because you do end up needing and wanting things you've stored much later on. I'm not talking about the really worthless stuff like trash you just threw in the box. Just keep it organized and well stored and you will be fine.

We use those for our theater usher badges and they are strong and work through heavier clothing. Should work good on a kilt.

Think they will probably be $3 shipped, but won't know for sure until I get them ordered. Just kicking it around as I really only want 5 of these hehe.
I would like 2 or 3 (if you can get the 3 magnet even better - my kilts a 16-22 oz mainly)
PM ME if you get them

Sure will. Hoping to order the 3 magnet ones tomorrow. At the price they are, I may go ahead and get 15 or 20 so I can keep 5 and do whatever with the others. I'll let you guys know.

Well sorry for the long delay, things got a little crazy and didn't get shipped. But I finally got the magnetic back in. I ordered the 3 magnet set into plastic that was suggested earlier. Very strong magnets, so I think these will work nicely for a kilt pin. I ended up having to get 30 as they ding you extra $$ if the order is not over so much. I want to keep 5, so the rest are up for grabs to the people that wanted them. $0.75 / each plus shipping (I gotta figure out if I can send these through USPS easy or if I have to do something special since the magnets are pretty strong).

I have found a real problem with rare earth magnets as Kilt Pin fasteners.
I get my rare earth magnets from old hard drives. Two alone are enough to hold a Kilt Pin so hard that it is actually difficult to seperate them.
However, they are magnets and seem to catch onto everything Steel and Iron you walk past. I have had them latch onto the fender of my car, a sign post, the counter at the coffee bar, my tape measure in the shop, my sewing machine, the refrigerator, the dogs water bowl, etc,
I've looked down and found pins, nails, and screws stuck to my Kilt Pins. I've had them yanked off and stuck to all sorts of things that I have walked by.
But the most embarrassing moment came when I bent down to measure a customer and the little steel tip of the tape measure around my neck stuck to the magnets and lifted my Kilt when I stood up.
I advise caution with using rare earth magnets on Kilt Pins.

Fair warning, Steve.
I'll take three sets.
