I finally got 2 minutes to thank you all for your kind words.
So, to answer a few questions, the pine needles are there thanks to the MacKinnon side of the family.
Chrystel says that you can hand wash it in cold water with special mild wool soap...
We actually just have enough tweed for one more hat !
Then we will have to order more tweed from Scotland.

in these parts of scotland, it's known as a doolander,
